About Grace and Truth Fellowship Church

“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace, For the Law was given through Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

John 1:16-17

Meet Our Pastors

Grace and Truth Fellowship Church is a grace-centered, non-denominational church and is pastored by Johnny and Jeannie Rhodes. They have a passion to reveal Jesus and God’s heart to the broken and lost through His Word.

Johnny and Jeannie graduated from Charis Bible College each with a master’s degree in biblical studies. They are honored to co-labor with Jesus to see people come to the Lord, mature in faith and to live out their God designed purpose!

Pastor Johnny Rhodes of Grace and Truth Fellowship Church

Pastor Johnny Rhodes

Pastor Johnny understands loss and heartache and how the power of God’s love and grace through Jesus will save, rescue, heal and restore! Jesus rescued Johnny from a 30-year addiction that led to homelessness, prison and a complete loss of hope! After years of failed attempts through self-effort and religious tradition Johnny was finally and completely set free when he saw and received a true revelation of God’s unconditional love and grace in Christ!

“When we were at our very worst, God was giving and continues to give us His very best in Jesus!” – Pastor Johnny

Pastor Jeannie Owens Rhodes, DO

Pastor Jeannie has a passion to see people set free by the Word of God and living the victorious life Jesus provided through His finished work on the Cross.

Jeannie is a residency-trained ER physician who has seen Jesus succeed where medicine has failed—raising a young man from the dead!!  The Word of God is TRUE and active and alive and sharper than a two-edged sword—it is the power of God given to us to minister LIFE to His children.

It was God’s Word that restored Jeannie from a life nearly destroyed from years of successively worsening poor choices.  But God!

Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, inspired and empowered by God, that it is infallible and authoritative. (2 Tim 2:16; 1 Thess. 2:13)

One God

We believe in one Eternal God who exists as 3 separate persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit all co-equal and co-eternal. (Phil 2:6; John 10:30; Eph 2:18; Gen 1:26)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, God in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on the earth, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the 3rd day, ascended to Heaven and now sits at the Father’s right hand having accomplished all that is necessary for man’s salvation. (Matt. 3: 17; 17: 5; Luke 3: 22; Isaiah 9: 6; Jn 1: 33, 34; Is. 7: 14; Heb. 2: 17, 18; John 11: 47; 12: 37; I Cor. 15: 14; Eph. 2: 19-23)

Salvation

We believe it is necessary for man to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart that God raised Him from the dead resulting in regeneration (New Birth) by the Holy Spirit.  We believe that Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 2:4, 10:9-10; 2 Peter 3:9, Titus 3:5; Eph 2:8)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from the New Birth available to all born again believers in Jesus Christ, that Jesus Christ will Baptize believers in the Holy Spirit empowering them to be witnesses on the earth – to live godly lives and to continue in all the works of Jesus. (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-47, 19:1-6)

Healing

We believe that Jesus demonstrated healing during His ministry on earth and still works through believers to heal the sick. (John 14:12; Acts 10:38)

Return of Christ

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus, in the resurrection of the dead and in Eternal judgement. Believers will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body and those who do not believe will be resurrected and judged joining Satan and his hosts in everlasting judgement (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:50-58; Rev. 20:11-15)

The Church

We believe the true Church is composed of all born again believers in Jesus Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.

The Great Commission

We believe that all born again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel to all the world. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15)

Marriage

We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman as biologically designated at birth. God instituted marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family (Gen 1:27, 2:24)

Male and Female

We believe that God in His creative wisdom created each person as either male or female. (Gen. 1:26-27)

Sex

We believe that the only sexual activity supported by Biblical morality and God’s command is between a husband (biological male) and a wife (biological female) in the context of marriage. All other sexual activity is sin. (Gen 2:24; Hebrews 13:4; Leviticus 18:1-30)

Sanctity of Life

We believe in the sanctity of life – that life begins at the moment of conception. (Psalm 139; Jer. 1:5)

Baptism – Ordinance

Baptism by immersion shall be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have repented of their sins and have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls and who give clear evidence of their salvation (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12).  Those who have become partakers of Christ by faith in His shed blood are commanded to be water baptized (by immersion) into Christ.  In this act of faith we participate in Christ’s burial and resurrection and receive a circumcision of the heart (Genesis 17:1-4; John 3:1-6; Romans 2:28-29; I Peter 3:18-22; I John 5:8).

The Lord’s Supper/Communion

The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of the covenant made with God through the blood of Christ.  It is a continuation of the Passover Feast, which God commanded His covenant people to observe.  Those who have made covenant with God through the blood of Christ and have been water baptized are instructed to participate.  The church participates in the Lord’s Supper as a body or family, with each covenant partner in fellowship adding to the blessedness of the experience (Exodus 11, 12; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 10:16; 11:23-26).
