Scripture teaches that Jesus baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit and in fire! This gift empowers a believer to be an effective witness for Jesus with supernatural results. One of the evidences of being baptized in the Holy Spirit is the gift and evidence of speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is speaking the mysteries of God and praying His perfect will. Speaking in tongues also edifies the believer praying in tongues by building them up in their most holy faith.
